This week I'm choosing your new Eterna, beautiful simplicity and the DLC really lifts it to another level. I have a DLC Seiko Monster and it really attracts the eye in person but, a word of warning, I don't often wear it because, compared to SS or ceramics, it's easily damaged.

Thanks Tim! The delicacy of the DLC is the reason I have never yet owned one. I wouldn't have bought this one for full price for the same reason.

Thanks Brad and yes to this part.Perhaps doubly so since there has been a rumour going around that Eterna might stop building watches altogether and exist only as a supplier of movements to customers.

Cheers mate. I haven't worn this for a few weeks and it gives me so much pleasure to see it on my wrist.

    Fantastic find, Hank!
The first photo makes it look like gunmetal, which is a cool look for a vintage vibe.
    Thin and 40mm...what a sweet-spot!

Yup. I like both equally this week.

Thanks! Over at IWL there was a bit of discussion going on about how much better this is than the renders, as in even more so than usual. I am quite pleased with it. It's a perfect for me thinnish 40mm.

Well gents, finished the worst job ever yesterday, so Yay! for that.

Now that it's fallish here I can wear straps again, so I started the week with the Armand Nicolet, which hardly got worn this summer.

Tuesday was another three hander on a strap, Eterna Avant Garde

Wednesday, just before lunch something I've been waiting for for several weeks finally arrived. I resisted the urge and didn't even open the box until I got home after work. So, since Wednesday night it has been this...

Counting shipping, duty and taxes I paid less for this than the list price of the one Seiko 5 I ever bought. 81% off with full Eterna warranty. Happy day! This is both my first Sellita powered watch adn the first DLC watch I have ever owned.

Too early to light the firepit yet, but a friend is coming over this evening and we will be swapping hot peppers and hot sauces, while having some beer around the fire.

    Nice watch by the way.
