    John, that's very cool. Do you know what movement is inside? Having a central seconds, I'm suppose it could be powered by an automatic, but the anchor doesn't turn, and 21j movements were frequently available in handwinders from Rado at the time.

      I wonder what was guaranteed. At the time, 'unbreakable mainsprings' were touted on all sorts of watches. Perhaps that was the guarantee.

      According to my experience and discussions with watchmakers, unbreakable mainsprings really weren't.
