    I actually paid less than you sold yours for, I said it was a decent price.
    There a bit of patina on the dial but that's a sign of authenticity to me and, amazingly, the alarm still works.

    Congrats! I had a blue one (case #42230285) and a silver one ($447xxxxx). I sold them 2010-2011, for between $375 and $500.
    I suspect prices are higher now.
    Yours looks well preserved--I've seen some really dinged-up examples.

    Rado Alarm

    The Rado Alarm is quite an elusive model, even here.
    It's not something I had ever particularly gone searching for but I came upon this example at a decent price from a UK seller. I made an even lower offer, did a deal and here it is.
    It needs a bit of a clean but, as I'm away from home until the weekend, it will have to wait.

    With only 1000 of these produced I'm extremely happy to have found a complete example in full working order.
