  • Gladys Chaton, Rado?

    Hello..I'm hoping to find out more information about the attached watch. I read that the same company who created the Rado also created a Gladys watch.

    Thank you very much for sharing the pics of this Gladys watch!

    Indeed, Gladys had been a sister brand of Rado, registered 02/24/1947 by Schlup & Co SA, also mentioned as brandname of Schlup & Co. SA in the "Swiss Watch Directory, 42nd Edition from 1955", a "who-is-who" of the Swiss watch industry.

    Unfortunately, that´s already the complete information I have and your pics actually show the first Gladys I´ve ever seen.
    With your approval, I would like to show it on my HP.
    Is it a ladies´watch? Do you have a pic of the movement or know what´s inside?

    From the design of the case, the dial and the hands(Dauphine), it´s early 1950s.

      I hope you can see enough detail from the photographs. Feel free to use them wherever you would like. I believe it's a womans watch because of the size.
