  • Sad day here. Lost our old girl.

We said goodbye to Delilah today. She spent her last few hours lying on the grass in the sunshine with a tennis ball.

Truly sad to hear that, Chris - they really are family members. Glad she got to spend her last few hours in the sun on the grass.

So sorry Chris. I lost my beloved Colby two years ago this
coming November. We walked almost 30k miles together
over fifteen years. I dictated 16 novels into my I-phones
voice recorder during that time. Seeing the world through
his wagging tail was a real inspiration.

Very sorry for your loss Chris, I have my buddy George sitting next to me as I write this, he's 15 going on 16 and although still reasonably active, he's a bit deaf, a bit blind and likes to have the odd quiet day now and then. I know I'll have to face what you're facing now in the not too distant future & it's not a pleasant prospect. I like that Delilah got to spend her last hours that way and hope George may do the same when his time comes.

I remember Delilah from her appearances here over the years. I hate to lose a member of our crew and she was a member of our crew.
