  • Ocean7 vs. Hamilton Khaki case thickness

I was trying to figure out a good way to show the thickness of the Ocean7 LM-8. I was going to use a shot of the watch on my wrist but who wants to see that? :-)

Here it is next to my Hamilton Khaki for comparison. Compare.jpg

No wonder it is heavy. Is it about 18mm? It looks thicker than a Certina PH 1000m. Because it is larger it does not look as tall as the Certina.

The specs say 17mm but it might be closer to 18mm.

My Deep Blue 1500m is 16mm thick, so I think it follows that the Ocean7 would be 17-18mm thick at 2000m of WR.

Ian Fleming might have found occasion to describe that watch in print as a 'knuckle duster.'
I'll call it substantial. I hope that watch, and things around the wearer, are suitably durable.

Cool, so you did get an LM- 8, what strap do you have it on?

              Regards,

              Ren

I bought a couple of straps from StrapsCo on eBay for the LM-8. Orange silicone and black silicone with orange stitching.
