  • Dress Watches...

I know they don't get talked about much here, but if they tickle your fancy,
or you have a need to wear them, they can offer some of the greatest buys
    in vintage watches.

    Here's some of mine.

I was considering selling them but then thought the better of it.

I still really dig that brown dial Gevril, Kurt!

I'm not much for dress watches, but have owned several.

Does this count? It may be my dressiest among the current rotation:

Scratch that...the Hamilton above is my dressiest automatic.

Here is the dressiest watch I own:

1953 Bulova Ambassador and 1948 Bulova Anita.

And this is the dressiest modern piece:

My dress watches are old, or they are re-issues of old watches: 2 Omega pie-pan Constellations, both from my Dad, one steel one gold; 3 Longines Conquests, 2 or which are heritage editions, one original, again from my Dad, and a couple Eterna Les Historiques tanks, which if not a re-issue, at least looks vintage.

Kurt, is the Omega Constellation chronograph not a dress watch???

          Brad, that RGM is Uber-cool!

Jonathan, thanks for the compliment on my RGM. The Eterna you mentioned is one I enjoyed owning about 20 years ago...as you may recall, my Hamilton tank above is the latest experiment in my quest for a 'keeper' rectangular watch.

Dress or dressy watches make up more than a bit of my collection.
