  • My Mother Wore An 18kt Gold Mickey Mouse Watch...

most of her adult life. It was always fascinating to watch Mickey's
arms go round. I was never particularly enamored with the look
of the overall watch, but I kind of like this...

But then, I like most of what Gerald Genta has done.

That is cool - I bought my wife a Gerald Genta Retro Classic Quartz last Christmas and she loves it. It's not one of his classic designs, but it's a good looking watch that she loves.

Very nice, is that a pearl dial?

Yes, the bracelet is a cool design too. Very small compared to my watches.

That's interesting because mine also wore a mickey mouse watch. It was just a LORUS though. I still have it.

This is my Mum's Platinum Rolex. It's about 13mm without the crown but she doesn't wear it any more, just a bit difficult to read for a 96 year old.

Thanks Kurt, I didn't appreciate it at all when I was growing up, it was just part of the scenery, amazing how much perceptions change as one gets older.

If there's no lady in your life who would enjoy it on their wrist, it could be converted to a ring watch and would be rather unique.

True Brad, it's certainly small enough, might run that idea up the flagpole and see if any of the ladies in my family salute.
