Default Anatomy of a watch forum thread >

I've spent some time this morning reading other watch forums. There seems to be a predictability to the way a lot of threads play out (thankfully none of this applies at UDWF):

Page 1: Introduction of thread by OP and initial responses

Page 2: First occurrence of differences of opinion, and basic bickering about who's right, why they're right, and why the other guy's wrong

    Page 3: Name calling begins

Page 4: Huffy assertions that we will agree to disagree, and calls for the thread to be deleted or locked

Sometimes this can all happen in the space of four pages, and sometimes it runs ten pages, or even twenty five pages. But the pattern seems to be pretty iron clad.

Bonus points for creativity, but canceled out by it being a freaking GROANER!

I think we need a UDWF T-shirt or ball cap with that phrase on it. We could wear it out in public and make everybody wonder what kind of counter-culture weirdos... or maybe they'd just think that was the name our house band.
