I made it to a General class license but this was back in the late 70's.
A couple of years ago I bought a Grundig Sat 750 thinking it would be cool to listen in on the world again, I was amazed how many of the traditional radio stations were no longer broadcasting, I guess the internet killed it.
I still have a TenTec tranceiver (probably 30 years old but it is solid state and has a digital display...lol), one of those indoor loop antennas with adjustment/tuning box, external speaker/power supply combo, mic, keyer, etc.
