Default Head's Up - Watch to be Sold

First look for you guys here: This is a complete Rolex No Date Submariner, U Serial number (from 1998), one owner watch. Comes with the Rolex box, booklets, Warranty papers, full bracelet, and service pamphlet. It is not a mint watch - its been worn, has the scuffs, dings, and a few scratches to prove it. The crystal has some small chips on the edges as well. And there is a distinct scuff on the bezel insert. But it runs very well, the bezel turns smoothly and easily, clicks solidly. The triplock crown screws down easily and with that Rolex feel of dead certainty. Flip lock clasp and diver's extension work fine. Its nicer than a "beater", and its complete with papers etc. Rolex just ceased making the plain, no date Sub with lug holes... The price to EoT is $100 less than what I'll ask if posting on TZ, etc

That's the one to have, I'd say.

Remember guys, for 500 bucks this could be sent to Rolex NYC for service and they would send it back in like new condition. Makes owning a Rolex worthwhile in my opinion.

Default I do like the no-date subs. I think 500 bucks might be a little low for a RSC...

Cleanup. I doubt you'd get it back for under a grand.

Personally, a little wabi doesn't bother me.

An independent watchmaker who has access to a Rolex parts account can do the service for a lot less. And ya, wabi? no problem.

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes; after that, who cares?! He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!
