Another vote for Steinhart in Germany. I bought my son one, and am very impressed with the quality of the watch at the price. Delivery was about 7 days (US Customs also dinged me for $19 on the delivery). The watch is an absolute joy, though, a beefy 42 mm diver that has been keeping +7 seconds a day. Looks great, feels very solid, and keeps great time - what else can you want at ~$400?

as we mentioned (scattered above threads) even the Steinhart Germany site directly is 'sold out' of several of the classic red & blues.
Makes me wonder if movements are getting harder to acquire and they're just slowly selling off what they have.
In a totally masochistic fashion--a trait I clearly share with many here or I wouldn't mention it--I'm oddly re-attracted to the green bezel Ocean 1 model.
Again.
Which I have owned and sold before.
AND I more recently owned the Rolex Sub anniversary model it copied.
It's just a sickness...
The ONLY good thing I can say about the illogic of it is that at least it's not smoking...
Not that uncommon to run out of stock on those, from what I've seen, but perhaps a little more so as of late? They're obviously very popular, and I think you're right about movement shortages, as that is one (of many) reasons that Bill has given for the delay in the Kingston.

permanently out-of-stock.
Maybe Debaufre is a victim of these shortages?
I noticed Debaufre is no longer on WUS either....
You might still be able to snag one of the 100 of these at 42mm....not pvd....

But I appreciate the thought.
