Thanks all. Truth is, I will wear it in exactly the same fashion with one exception. I will take immediate action if I see those links start to splay apart.

- back it goes...
I have a Rado signed one, NOS, from that Dutch guy- Vacheron (?).
I'll have to send it back again...
That crystal looks as thick as some of the late seventies Louis Rossels had. Is that backed with some type of spring mechanism to push it upward?
Yeah, that's the best 7 row ever.
My dad had a 1965 Plymouth Strato Chief wagon ( Fire and Police version of the Fury II). It was big enough to put a double mattress between the wheel wells. I don't know how many trips I made through...
Best of all: pre-accident there was a tiny white crumb on the dial. As you may well guess, it drove me batty. It's gone now.
Here it is, back from the dead.

Looks as good as new. It arrived in one of those Rado travel packs and was ticking happily away within a second or two of the Hyperchrome. I brought some...
A little black travel case was waiting at FedEx for me this morning.

Apologies for the cell phone pic. No apologies for the Garcia Syndrome. The watch arrived ticking within a second or...
Pretty nice. I'd wind that.

Looking for the LR 7827 pictures I came across this photo of two of my favourite Diastars- the 1962 unnumbered Diastar and the 40 Years of Diastar LE.
...
Ref 7827, TC cased with a typical Louis Rossel sapphire crystal and a snap back, which is quite uncommon for an LR . The 7827 looks like a typical TC Louis Rossel but is much slimmer due to the ETA...
I didn't know yours had a tinted crystal. So this one could be an acid etch dial too.
Nice Balboa Pimp! It is clearly similar to a regular Balboa case, but isn't. The sapphire crystal is just like the one in my champagne Balboa, which has a somewhat similar case to yours.
I suddenly feel like I'm missing something. Mine doesn't say that::rolleyes:

Ah, well, he's wrong either way. The crystal is indeed sapphire.
Here's my 1624-2:

My old 1624,...
He would not be wrong. While it is not the ugliest LR I have ever seen by a long stretch, it is even further from being the nicest one I've ever seen.
A ref. 1624-2, one of the steel cushion cased models, with a cuff bracelet. I believe that these LR models are a hardened steel, much like Rado is now using, rather than normal stainless steel.

I won my second Balboa Great on March 27th. It was shipped today, May 14th. I should receive it just shy of two months after purchase...
Beautiful weekend here, high 20s C/ low 80s Farenheit, BBQs and firepits. My choice for today:

Cool and I like the sign/watch pic.
How about throwing a little honesty in with the deceit-"Rare as a Rolex"?
