  • Southwest Mini Fest...

... so, Mrs Sparky drives a Mini Clubman. This year the gtg is in our town, meeting lots of cool folks. I look at the wrist of one older fellow... "is that a Chopard Mille Miglia? " (Spelling aside, I totally interrupted our conversation.

His wife said I made his week

He saw that race in '89 so he bought that year's model.
Today he wore one of his Heuer Carreras and they made me promise to wear the '78 Tudor Sub.
Fun to find another watch junkie

    Tomorrow... Panerai

Cool. I have never met another serious watch guy here in my town.

Saskatoon. I have met some people with nice watches, but nobody with the habit. There is a guy on the Chinese watch forum over at IWL who lies in Warman, which is 30 minutes away, but I have only exchanged emails with him.

It is not the first place most people choose to drive through.

              From Regina ....

Years ago, I took a detour North off the Trans-Canada on Rt #11 to Saskatoon. I rode the Trans-Canada from Thunder Bay to Calgary before heading South to Montana.

I like open spaces, so to me, ........ Pretty Country!

              Thanks Henry

I am actually much more comfortable with open spaces than mountains and things. My father, who grew up on the ocean, took to the prairies instantly, just as I have taken to the ocean.
