You're letting that lunatic come up with the puzzles? Didn't Chris also come up with those WIS trivia questions in the last contest? The ones that made my head hurt? That's just mean. It's a good thing I stocked up on Motrin on a 2-fer sale.

Devils on BOTH shoulders. You do know that some of us can get obsessive about quizes, crosswords, etc., regardless of whether there is a prize or not?

Thanks! Selling is unlikely at this point, but one never knows. Although I did see a cobalt blue version of this once, that might prompt me to switch.... or to just buy as a stable mate to the black.

                  I switched to this:

A Diastar 14 (ca. 1972) with Goldstone dial.

                  It just arrived today.
                  FUNKY!

That is crazy! Beautiful dial and slick hands too. I wish the case weren't so big because it looks like it takes away from the dial a bit. Maybe in person it's not so. Nice one bRADO.

Thanks, it's a bold piece, indeed. The case is a bit blunt (so to speak) for the elegance of the polished mineral dial. I think you are right...a more subtle case would be preferable. Most of the watches I've seen using this case have black dials; that's far more suitable, IMO.

Would you be able (though not necessarily willing) to put that dial (etc.) in a different Rado case? As I said, you might not be amenable to such a project, but I just wonder if it could be done. I'd love to see that dial more prominently displayed.
