My week, it was mostly vintage, interspersed with torrential downpours, more severe winds, hail, lightning and most of the biblical plagues. Well, not the last thing, but it felt like it. Oddly, I seem to have touched on a number of the themes that seem to have prevailed this week.

    Monday, all dark and gloomy

Today, I am winding up the work week with the first TC case since last weekend's tool XL.

That a case from a quartz with a 9181 that was shot. The dial came from John Pat, a nos movement and the hands from a silver dialed Electrosonic that I bought as junk for parts. I really dig it to. Thanks Henry

I am guessing it is at least as nice as you were hoping. It looks great.

Thanks Jose. I got pretty lucky with it. I've worn it about a dozen times and I bet that is more times than it had ever been worn before. Even the clasp was unblemished. And I got it for next to nothing. I had a little bit of money lying around in my Buyee account and went hunting for something that wouldn't require any further deposit.

Thanks Jose, I've been enjoying it since I put it on.

Thanks mate. It's quite a risk to buy something you've never seen in real life, especially something this expensive, but it's everything I hoped it would be.

A lovely week of some of your lesser worn watches Henry.
This has always been a favourite of mine.

I fear that leather strap won't last long in that heat and humidity but it looks great for now.

I don't want to brag about my own foolishness, but... I bought the Hyperchrome Golden Horse sight unseen....

In my defence, I did suffer some apprehension.

It is one of my favourites too, which is why I hardly wore it for years before deciding that was disrespectful to the watch and it's purpose.
