  • Futura -- State Of The Collection

    Hello All,

It has been a long time since I last posted -- I've been crazy busy with my business and have spent quite some time abroad too. Never-the-less I have been regularly checking in here and have continued to collect.

Since my last post I have acquired many more watches so instead of a MMff from me for this week here is a state of the collection to catch up.

Additionally, I have my eyes on a very expensive purchase (maybe two) so pretty much all of my collection is open to offers if something catches an eye. Everything is in Hertfordshire, UK.

So without further ado here is my gents collection

Nice groups! You have loads of desirable pieces there--I especially admire the'Trons.
Do I see an early Marstron with pointed hands among your parts watches?
I used to have one--it had a flat crystal, I believe. I always wondered whether it was original.

I certainly like the 'Trons and as they are always ready to go means they get lots of wrist time. Unfortunately all my Marstrons have the same standard hands, I have seen a photo (perhaps of yours) of a Dagger handed Marstron but never seen one for sale.

I have only ever seen two of the Green Marstrons (and have them both)

You have grown a really nice collection there Futura.
Congratulations especially on the NCCs and SpaceWing.

Any hints on the expensive purchases?

                Hi!

Definitely a nice collection meanwhile, cngrats!
A great selecion of Rado´s more extraordinary designs.

I had been lucky with my Marstron.
I think, a mesh band is always a good option, when the original
one is missing or too short.

                Best regards, Mike

I want an GMTMaster II in Blue/Black and a "Tintin" Speedmaster both of which are in a different league to my current watches

I have been a big fan of Milanese loop bands for exactly this purpose since having one on my first Apple Watch. They are amazingly comfortable and work really well in disguising that you haven't got the original bracelet. The gold NCC gets more attention on the Milanese look than the silver one does on its original bracket too.
