But I would love to see that dial in its original configuration--I have no recollection of markers like that.
I wonder if they were pilfered from a Manhattan of this type (although the count of small and large markers isn't a match):

Talking about markers, check out this beauty on a ladies Diastar.

I love the ladies' Diastars. I wish they'd done some of the men's just as funky.
Mrs C has a tiger eye Diastar with some pretty funky contrasting markers.

I also have some NOS examples of these lady DS stone marker dials, they should be legit.
Can post some pics if you want to see them..

                          Really bad Voyager fake

                          Bad fake Rado.jpg
Purported to be a ladies' Voyager...not sure there was such a thing.
Regardless, everything is wrong about this one!

It looks hideous ...although i have to be honest Brad when i saw the ladies Diastar with the circular green markers that Jose posted on the previous page i thought it was a fake too! the green markers just looked too big for such a small watch so i still have a long way to go re: sorting the wheat from the chaff !

This is Mrs C's Voyager, I'm fairly certain that it's a thing.

You are correct Scott. Womens Voyagers are a thing, at least early Voyagers. The later Voyagers had womens equivalents but the womens versions were generally called Shangri Las.
