  • New Arrival Golden Horse Ref 11817

Arrived today, in pristine condition with the exception of a few marks on the backplate where someone has tried to remove it (it is very tight and I cannot loosen it). Movement is running and seconds hand ticking away nicely but no movement of the hour or minute hands. What's the prognosis guys before I send this to watch guy?

Do the hands move very freely when the crown is in the setting position. If so, might just be a loose canon pinion.

Would love to see it, but as Photobucket is still not allowing third party hosting without a fee the pictures are blocked. This is what I was referring to in my message to you about the two you had for sale.

ps, one seems to be doing very well!

      Is it a bayonet back?

If so, whoever put the marks in the caseback may have over-rotated it.

Looks like you have been ambushed by the botophucket brigade. Lots of users can no longer share the images they have stored there.

Yes the hands move freely when setting the time.

Apologies about the pics, just checked Photobucket and they are after $600 for third party hosting. Will need to find a different way, what is everyone else using to post photographs?

I use my iPad photo library. Take my pictures with my iPhone.

                  I use www.fototime.com -- for $23 a year you can have 8gb. I'm into my second 8, unfortunately.

                    Hi John,
I had one with the same problem and as Frank said it's a canon pinion problem, it was too tight or loose I don't remember, but it wasn't an expensive fix. On the photos I have a Flickr account like Henry but I usually just upload them to EoT straight from my Mac.

Apparently I may have a year's grace in which Photobucket will come to their senses or I will say " On yer bike." to them, but probably in a much less civil fashion.

Resurfacing this thread as my watch guy has only just got around to looking at this. The movement is AS1859. I got this message from him “Sir, canion wheel(canion pin attached wheel) need.”

does this make sense and does anyone have the part for sale?
