  • NCC101 Arrival

Recently arrived 101 to add to the collection. This one arrived on a Rado branded leather strap which is unusual, and fairly certain not original to the watch, wears ok but need to find a fishtail for it.

Nice addition to your 101 collection JP and the genuine leather is a great score too.

Nice watch. Do you mind me asking how much you paid?

The strap tapers from 22mm to 14mm at the buckle.

It was a trade but value would be in the range 150 -200 I would say.

That's a pretty flimsy buckle to hold in place that much mass!
              Congrats...lovely example.

Interesting strap. Since there just a a few Rado models that had 22mm lugs I think there is a good chance the strap is original to the 101.

BTW I own the black stripe 101 and one just like this one you are showing, I really like how the dial finish and the stripe looks in the sun. It is a great watch!!!

Bonus points to the seller for at least putting it on vintage Rado leather.

I think I have a gold dial for the ref 11921. I'll try to find it and confirm that.

It looks very nice on that strap, even though most Rados were available on bracelets there most have been also different straps options.
