  • Busy, busy, busy day...

I took delivery of something that is a bit of a grail for me...

and it came with a watch too!

Then I won an absolute treasure on the 'bay. It is so uncommon it wasn't even on my wish list. I can hardly wait for this to arrive.

    And now...

I bought a project watch. It will require a lot of work, maybe some that is beyond me, but is an unusual variant of a popular Rado.

If the teasers include some photos....they're not teasers any more.
Watch boxes come with watches, but so do limbs.
Watch safes come with watches and no limbs, and that would be even better.

Is the treasure a Rado? Of course. What does Henry NOT have..?
    Hmmm...
Did you just try to pass NULL? You can’t pass NULL!

              1950s Certina

1960s DiaStar, I still have an original NOS dial for that.

                  Hi Marcus!

There are detailled HD pics from all sides - no crack to recognise, just the surface needs some polish. A bargain with the NSA with Rado-clasp, as well as the Certina.
                  Best regards, Mike

                    This is the grail item:

I'll try to post the watch this evening.

the crack can be found directly above the crown straight to the crystal, im pretty sure! no chip or dislocation is present!
check the auction pic: P1930534.jpg thats the only pic which shows the crack clearly!
its very hard to see, thats why i also placed some bids on it.

but it still is worth the money, the 7-row and the movement including the great looking hands is a bonus!

                        greetings,

                          Unfortunately you´re right, Marcus!

But either way - another bonus is the quadratically faceted crystle.
Did you see the other DSs from this seller? Most of them from the 1980s with press down backs, one of them with 558.xxxx.x reference, so an ETA 2671 inside.
                          Best regards, Mike

nevermind, wanted to inform you! all good..
i also wanted it to wear that watch. im pretty sure the crack is almost invisible.
this TC case looks great with the big outer "bezel ring", all my mineral dialed DS8 cases got the same outfit! love them!

unfortunately i missed the other auctiuons from this seller. do you mean these strange GP DS 8 models ? i noticed them but they´re not my cup of tea..

and thanks for the info on the starliner, wanted to be sure nothing´s get lost !

                              cheers!
