Thought I'd show you my one and only pocket watch.
Friend of mine dated it to 1904. 102 years old and running
strong. Amazing.
He also said blue numbered dial is kind of rare. It's got
some cracks, but I don't care. I love it. Sometimes I keep it
next to me while watching TV or at my PC at work just
so I can hear it tick.
I'd like to someday get a full bridged movement pocket watch like an
E.Howard or (gulp!) Patek...

Thanks for visiting and sharing this watch. I know exactly what you mean about hearing the tick while doing something else. If my wife didn't dislike the sound, I'd have a big ticking clock in the bedroom. I often take a PW out of my pocket at the office to hear it as I work.

That blue-number dial is stunning.
Cheers,
Brad

PS. Check out some of the older Longines pocket watches...some very high quality with lovely bridges...and the prices are for more accessible than those of Patek.

And thanks for tip. I'll have to check them out soon!

I went through a phase of looking at deck watches and marine chronometers.
I figured a bigger movement, a louder tick, right?
The brand Longines you mentioned seemed to have some nice ones.
Unfortunately, the bottom fell out on the finances (for now!)
I've got a dive watch or 2 on my short list, but I think a deck watch
would be cool too!.:p

You should check out the Hamilton Model 22 here:

SteveG's Watch Launchpad features some fine watches. Among them is a classic Hamilton deck watch:

...is probably my Hamilton 992b (posted here a lot lately, I'm afraid).

I had this in my pocket at a staff meeting one time and a colleague looked at me and said "Is that you ticking?"
