is still one of my very favorites. I like everything about it - porcelain dial, bold numbers, Montgomery dial, the fancy case edges, nicely decorated movement, etc.

Thanks for sharing that, Dick. I love my 992B. Mine happens to be a later model--near as I can tell it's from
the last 12 months or so of production, which ceased in 1969.

I'm also lucky enough to have acquired a Model 23, which is sort of a 992b chronograph from WWII.

To my knowledge, this model is the only US-made chronograph of its type. I mean that no other US maker produced this sort of pocket chronorgaph. I'd love to learn otherwise if I am wrong about this...
