... I just opened the mail... I got a surprise!<br>
<br>
Anyone remember this bad boy?<br>
<br>
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v156/equationoftime/Omega/dialdirty.jpg" alt="" border="0"><br>
<br>
Yeah, pretty ugly. Brown crud all over the dial. So I washed it.<br>
<br>
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v156/equationoftime/Omega/dialclean.jpg" alt="" border="0"><br>
<br>
Wow, that's better!<br>
<br>
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v156/equationoftime/Omega/omega_04.jpg" alt="" border="0"><br>

<br>
The movement ain't too bad!<br>
<br>
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v156/equationoftime/Omega/omega_05.jpg" alt="" border="0"><br>
<br>
Polish it up a bit...<br>
<br>
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v156/equationoftime/Omega/omega_06.jpg" alt="" border="0"><br>
<br>
Now, this is what arrived... the redial! Noice!<br>
(ignore the hands in the foreground... spare Archimede flieger hands)<br>
<br>
<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v156/equationoftime/Omega/omega_07.jpg" alt="" border="0"><br>

<br>
All that is needed is a new crystal and re-assembly...

And what's the current thinking on the practice? I was told in the past that a redial could never match the original, but I'm seeing some really convincing redials these days.

BTW, what a nice watch!

Thanks

Jon
