I've been watching this Putnam, hoping it would sail under the radar. Nope.
So would you redial it, or leave it original?

...find another, beat-up version of the same watch and buy it. Have the dial of the worst one refinished to look perfect, install it in the best of the cases. Keep the original dial with that case as a spare in case of sale in the future.
That's what I intend to do with my late grandfather's 1927 Hamilton Cushion...I just need to find a donor dial.

Looking for a beat up Putnam with a great dial would be like finding a '57 speedster in the back of somebody's barn under the hay bales.
