I cut my teeth on vintage watches and still love them, although I have exercised iron will to prevent me from simply accumulating pieces I like. Now I buy for uniqueness and condition, but here are some early pieces I've owned and loved over the years:

...this one had its original PAPERS. Never should have sold it:

Oh, the humanity. I'm finished for now!

I'll agree with your "never should have sold it" thought. Wow, original papers????

What great watches! Those coral gold Hammies are something!

I'm glad you shared them. I could post a few like that, which I enjoyed but parted with nonetheless. But I could do without the melancholy afterglow.

That Seamaster Calendar on bracelet is lovely, and I also had a vintage SM 300, but the non-date version without papers.

Please feel free to join in at will here...and spread the word that we have a new location for discussion of the vintage pieces we love so dearly.

Very nice pieces there, David. I'm a long-time Omega fan, and that Hammy is a beauty as well.

You sold me the Hamilton Ross. Unfortunately, the last time it was at a watchmakers it got LOST! Also the last time I used that guy. Beautiful watch even if a bit small.
